Kingergarten stumbles upon crack pipe

In an elementary school in Rural Springs, Missouri, a kindergarten child brought a bag of crystal meth and a crack pipe to school for a show and tell presentation. He was stopped shortly after entering the school by a teacher, and was taken straight to the principal. The Superintendent of the school explained how excited the child was to show off what he found at his home. She also expressed that the child at that age, had no idea what the substance was. As the young child made his way to the office, police were called down to the elementary school. Michelle Cheatham, the boy's mother was arrested later on with drug charges and eventually was released on bail.

This is ridiculous. If you choose to go forward with the path of drugs, you shouldn't leave the drugs in the possession of a child. The boy could have been injured. Say that was a needle instead of a pipe. Think of how much harm could have been done to the child. I think the issue should be dealt with in a more serious way, because children shouldn't be exposed to drugs at such an early age.

I think that parents need to be more careful. They should respect the lives of their children and keep them safe in every way possible.
